I probably have seen maybe twenty to thirty episodes max, but I still think that you're maybe being a little bit dramatic.

Fandom apparently has a gigantic hate-on for BBT. I think it's a pretty stupid show for a lot of reasons, but I can't quite fathom how it's able to command such depth of anger in people.

It didn't at first; but as the years by and the rabid social justice mania spread and intensfied, it's now become trendy to hate on it.

Like the shows that fandom squees over are so much better.

I dislike it because at first it seemed like it was on our side, but the more the show progressed it seemed to be more "Let's laugh at the nerds/geeks instead of with them." I mean, there's problematic aspects of it also, but I tend to not let that sort of stuff get to me. It's when it's "Hey, you're our target audience, but we're going to subtly make fun of you the whole time" when things make me stop watching a show.

If shows were bigoted based on their jokes nearly 99% of sitcoms would be sexist, homophobic, racist, etc. By that logic, if I call a person I dislike a 'bitch' does that make me a sexist?
