Magneto may be the head of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, but he's always been closer to Malcolm X than Osama bin Laden. I'm not sure it's necessarily fair to compare him to cruel or sadistic villains. (We'll leave out that time he started straight-up slaughtering people, because apparently that was actually Xorn or something.)

Oh, come now. It's all fun and games until you're compelled by a evil mind control/brain tumor/SHIELD/alien entity/plot device to butcher hundreds of people, then, you're in the Marvel Universe.

"She's dead again?"

"Oh, that. Well, you see, that wasn't me."

"Oh really now?"

"It was actually Xorn's twin brother, possessed by the sentient mold Sublime, pretending to be me, pretending to be Xorn."

"That defies all logic."

"Oh, like none of you have ever died before."
