It is a 6 year old! Seriously, a six year old can't sexually harass another kid*. Not saying the child did something okay and the child should like any other child be taught what is and isn't right, and what you can and can't do to another person.

Also how on earth did that lead to a suspension? I have had kids in my class fight each other without getting suspended, I can't actually think of anyone I know of that has ever been suspended. Oh wait! Those kids that beat up this one boy for standing up to them, I think they got suspended for a while.

Which reminds me that when I was like 4 and in kindergarden me and a boy went into the bathroom to look at each other private parts... Nothing sexual about that either, just curiosity.

*The world is a fucked up place, there is probably damaged children around who could do it. But they wouldn't be aware of it being sexual harassment.

daaaaaang! lol. It never would have occurred to me to do this. (But then I was bathed with my younger brother when we were both toddlers, so I already knew about the different plumbing.)

Reminds me of my ex, who told me once that when he was in kindergarten he thought the only difference between boys and girls was that boys liked blue and girls liked pink. I was like "so you thought girls peed standing up too?" and he was like "well yeah"

but his closest sibling in age was an older brother, and he was really shy as a kid, so he didn't really have any opportunity to figure this out until it was explained to him

Yeah, I am the oldest. Didn't get a little brother before I was 7 and my mother was the first one to have a boy, next one that isn't my mothers is currently in third grade so not a lot of boys around me as a child. I think I knew about the differences tho, because I went swimming in the swimming pool basically once a week from I was a couple of months old and sometimes I went in the men's changing room with my father or other male family members so I had seen male parts...

Which reminds me of another story: When I was like 3-5 too young to go to the showers alone in the swimming pool at least, I went with my uncle (I think?) and in the showers I slipped and reached out for the nearest thing to stop me from falling... And I think you can imagine the rest of the story? After that I was sent into the female changing rooms alone when my mother didn't come with us.

~~looking back, damn I had a strange childhood... I wonder if anyone remembers all the stories I've told on here, because it is getting up in the numbers... They are all true tho~~

yeah I'm the oldest too but my brother is less than two years younger than me. With two toddlers in the house is was easiest for my mom to plop us in the tub at the same time and I remember being fascinated by that weird bit he had down there, much to his occasional chagrin.

(I'm so glad my brother doesn't read f!s. He'd be mortified...)

A lot of schools in the US are cracking down hard on behavioral issues. This isn't exactly "zero tolerance" since he's apparently gotten in trouble with it before, but yeah. Makes me wonder about the kids other troublesome behavior that that one article mentioned though, like if this was a "last straw" type of deal.
