I agree. I don't care about personality or character build differences (unless the character is simpering fool), but the name takes me right out of the fic. I prefer the Warden to be referred to as Warden or Warden-Commander. I'll take Warden Cousland or Warden Amell but once the fic goes into Serefina or something I stop and hit the back button. Rarely do I find a fic interesting enough to just mentally replace the name with the default (or just Warden).

Same goes for Shepard and Hawke. I'd love to do the find/replace but I also feel weird about editing another's story.
