Sounds like you're just a comic snob really and looking for an excuse to hang your nerd-elitism on, because you can't be a real fan of something unless you look down on something else.

I got news, I've seen trad Western comics that are far more "confusing" than that example you've just posted as an example of something you can't read. Unless of course you are sticking with the Silver Age stuff, then yeah I can see how it would be difficult to read anything that complex. Of course most cans of soup have more complex labels than Silver Age comics.
