I'm a little sad that the name A Song of Ice and Fire has been mostly replaced by Game of Thrones. I'm just used to calling it by the original name of the series since I started reading the books back in high school.

I've completely gone over to the side of calling it Game of Thrones, even though I called it ASOIAF for far longer than I've been calling it GoT.

Game of Thrones is just a better name. Let's be honest - A Song Of Ice And Fire was always kind of a shitty name.

I thought they were separate books in the same unnamed series written by the same author.

Me too!

I always thought it was because there's a Magic: The Gathering card that's Sword of Fire and Ice and it was getting confused in my head. But maybe it just flows better that way.

I don't mind so much since I also started reading them back in high school, but 'Game of Thrones' stuck with me while 'A Song of Ice and Fire' did not, and the friend that lent me the books always used to get on my case for not using the right name.
