I've recently started reading Arrows of the Queen by Mercedes Lackey and it's very happy! The protagonist, Talia, starts off in a bad place but it gets happier pretty quickly.

I also got Pride & Prejudice on blu-ray recently so I've watched that and that's my 'I feel like shit I want something pleasant' movie.

I used to love Mercedes Lackey as a kid. Especially the books about the talking horses (I have not read fantasy in forevvveerrrr).

That's what I've been reading. :) I read a lot of fantasy when I was younger, but now I actually want to write a fantasy novel (which I recently started) so I'm reading a bunch of fantasy books I never picked up when I was younger.

I loved Mercedes Lackey! I own neeearly all her books in the valdemar world. My favourite series are the ummm mind blank ummm vows and honor! + by the sword... And the exiles series!
