I feel like that's why a lot of people ship Korra and Asami. Asami really hasn't gotten any character growth.

I ship Korra and Asami primarily because I love the idea of them flipping Mako the bird together and ride off into the sunset without him

but I also like their dynamic, and I love them as friends too. I would be happy with them either way.

This can be my third reason for liking them.

1st reason: I like Korra, I like Asami, therefore I ship you two.
2nd reason: They look pretty together
3rd: Fuck Mako


...I'd be ecstatic if they're friends in season 3! I just want Korra to have friends! and more ladies who do stuff in the show! and way less Mako AND Bolin

D: What's wrong with Bolin? Especially since in S2 he was either Sir Not Appearing In This Episode, had his character completely derailed, or was flanderized into cheap comic relief. I'm totally with you on Korra having friends and Fuck Mako, but can't Bolin come too?

I liked him in season 1, but I didn't like him in season 2. Maybe not to the extent of frustration I feel with Mako, but I was mostly >:/ at him. So I kind of just want him...not...there.

The problem with Season 2 is that the writers forgot how to write him. What if we could have S1 Bolin back? Because that's kind of what I want.

I wouldn't mind the Bolin from S1 back! He seemed pretty nice and optimistic and not a dick.

Those are also good reasons to ship Korra and Asami. I'd love for season 3 to feature their friendship and Mako being forever alone until they all grow up a bit.

This. They seem like they'd be way cuter as badass lovers standing back-to-back against the world than fighting over that miserable pretty boy who always looks like he's got a red-hot rod up his ass. That's my impression from tumblr gifs, anyway.
