The ratings may be falling, but so are the ratings for a lot of FOX shows. (Have you looked at Glee's ratings lately?) Despite the falling ratings, it's still FOX's highest rated drama. And it's already been renewed for Season two. It's only running 13 episodes a season, so after its finale in January it won't be back until next fall.

FOX doesn't actually have a lot going for it right now in the drama department. It's got Sleepy Hollow, Almost Human which is struggling, Bones which has been sent to Fridays, and Glee, which is getting terrible ratings these days. And The Following, which will take over Sleepy Hollow's slot after the season finale. And its (non-animated) comedies aren't doing great either. So before you start condemning Sleepy Hollow's ratings, check how it's doing compared to the rest of the network.

*I don't actually even watch the show, but I do follow ratings, and it's hardly in danger of being cancelled.

For The Following, is it the same as what already aired on F/X a year ago or is it a new season?

It's a new season.
