I wouldn't mind them if he wasn't supposed to be blond. Blond people don't have black eyebrows.

Uh, sometimes they do. As a child, I had natural blonde hair and really dark eyebrows. My hair has somewhat darkened, but I still have light brown hair and black eyebrows.

Of course there are exceptions to the rule. But MOST blond people - especially when they have basically white hair like Thranduil - are not going to have black eyebrows. Darker eyebrows, maybe, but not black. And if they do, people are going to think they're fake blondes. So yes, maybe it is possible for Thranduil to have white hair and black eyebrows. Doesn't make it look any less fake.

Umm, I know a girl who is just about as blonde as Thranduil and her eyebrows are black. I've know her since we were five, and she's always had that colouring, so it's all natural.
