I'm so glad this is the first comment, because: just this.

People act as though she didn't deserve to be called out on her plagiarism, because she plagiarised the good parts of things...like how does that make sense?

I got into an argument with a friend who said "So what if she plagiarised tons of stuff - if she managed to put in into a story that was her own and people enjoy it, it's still a good story~" because the art was in piecing the things together in a way they worked or something. I disagreed. The same friend throws a fit, though, if you stream/download series or read scanlations because ~it's illegal~. Well guess what? Plagiarism is illegal, too.
