Whenever I listen to "Where Did You Sleep Last Night," I hear "just about a mile from here" as "disemboweled a mile from here." I know what it's supposed to be. I cleared this up with Google years ago. But, tell that to my brain. :P

The Mark Lanegan version (which I actually prefer) kills this, because the phrasing used in that one is "a mile and a half from here." Still, I won't deny that I almost prefer my wrong interpretation, because it makes so much sense in the context of the verse.

O.O Does that line make sense in the context of the song? Because that seems sort of out of place.

The next line is how it head was found and his body never was, so yes. It's actually kind of a disturbing song. But I'm cool with disturbing, so I like it.
