Why is it a contest? I thought the purpose of feminism in pop culture was to turn out a lot of it to make the idea visible and accepted, not to hold rounds of semi-finals, finals, and medalists to make the list of movies that get feminist cred as short as possible.

I'm not seeing it as a contest, I just want people to acknowledge that it really fucking succeeded on the feminism front and stop screaming about the "whitewashing" (of a minority group that is white) and one solitary animation glitch. It's like a huge swath of people decided to hate this movie on principle and they won't see its good points.

I was about to say the same thing. Obviously some movies are going to have put explicit care on writing women and their relationships, but we don't have to find "the most" for them to count as a positive thing.

This. I thought the idea was to show that there are all types of female characters just like there are all type of male characters. Looking for a "perfect" female character is not what feminism is or should be about.
