Yup. I don't mind the BBC fandom, but I hate how it's not properly contained categorized as an adaptation that is distinct from ACD canon (or Granada, or Ritchie, or Russian). Hell, on AO3 people constantly, constantly tag BBC fics with both "Sherlock (TV)" and "Sherlock Holmes - ACD". In spite of the fact that there's a whole other tag called "Sherlock Holmes and Related Fandoms" that they could unite their Holmes-related stuff under.

...I take it neither of you saw the wasteland Tumblr became, the night of the onions? I mean, yeah, some of it was funny, at first, but then it really started getting out of control. All the cooking blogs were like, "WHY ARE THERE SHERLOCK POSTS WHEN I SEARCH FOR FRENCH ONION SOUP" which is fine for an hour or so, but It. Went. On. For. DAYS.

night of the onions

This sounds like a really low-budget horror movie.

(As someone who is not on Tumblr, what is the story of the onions?)
