I get the impression that "superfamily" was around long before the MCU.

I'm not into it either. I prefer my Steve/Tony without a side order of random Spiderbaby.

No it wasn't. It was around before The Avengers, but definitely not before the MCU.

I had never seen it around before the MCU. I had seen comic verse fics way back when where Peter had a father/son-like relationship with Tony and/or Steve but not one where he was literally their son. Not saying it didn't happen, but I don't think it was prevalent enough to be a trend prior to the movieverse
