Wanna hear some of my latest ideas?

X-Men + Harry Potter with a Shakespere motif =Alike In Dignity

Harry Potter /Hogwarts + The Charlie Bone series + Digimon+ Spy Kids+ a touch of MLP:FiM= Artcraft

Steampunk +Code Gaess + sciencemagic = Legacy

Greek Myth+ Arthurian Myth+ Other Mythologies+fairy tales+urban fantasy=Fire From The Heavens

Just because you can summarize your story idea with things that are already familiar doesn't mean that your stories are any less creative or original. Having a variety of influence helps to make your story more unique, and if you write with your own original voice , your work will certainly be creative.
