Comparing yourself to fictional characters isn't healthy, but maybe it's a good moment to think about some things you could change that would make you feel better about how things are going for you: starting a regular exercise habit, taking up a social activity that gets you out of the house, something. In this economy finding a better job is tough, but finding some better life experiences of some kind is rarely impossible.

I'm unemployed right now (currently job-hunting), so in the meantime I've been doing volunteer work, taking a couple of crafting classes, and I'm thinking of opening an Etsy store to sell some of the things I make. I may not be working, but that doesn't mean I can't still be doing something.

This is a good idea. I agree with the others that the life of a fictional character can't really be compared to the life of a real person, but when I get into these moods I like to use it as motivation to do something that will make me feel better. Even a small change in habits can make me feel a lot better.

I hope things start looking up for you soon, OP. And everyone else here who relates. <3
