Re: Disturbing Songs that you Love Anyway
Is it a song about a vampire? A serial killer? A sexual predator? The video makes it look like the former. Any way, it's creepy.
Angry Johnny by Poe
The singer wants to kill her (abusive) boyfriend? Yeah, that's a bundle of joy.
Cuddly Toy by The Monkees
Davy just sings this song so cheerfully, and yet, if you listen closely, it sounds like he's singing about a girl who'd been (gang/date)raped. Uhhh.
Goodbye, Earl by The Dixie Chicks
Another cheerful song about wife abuse, then the wife and her best friend murdering the husband
and serving him up as barbeque, no, wait, that's Fried Green Tomatoes. And that was another disturbing video, but more because of Earl dancing around after he was dead.Re: Disturbing Songs that you Love Anyway

(Anonymous) 2013-12-19 01:29 am (UTC)(link)Don't put abusive in brackets like that, it's a significant part of the story and makes all the difference.
"The singer wants to kill her boyfriend?" Well that seems a bit harsh
"The singer wants to kill her abusive boyfriend?" Fair enough.
