Now I feel sad for you. :(

If you haven't already you should tell your family and friends that you no longer celebrate the holiday and would not like to be a part of their gift giving/celebration. It would probably bring you quite a bit of relief and get rid of some of the anger surrounding this time of year.

This usually gets you more in trouble than it's worth, because then everyone calls you a sourpuss and gets all pissy about you not wanting to do Christmas. Trust me.

I'm sorry your family isn't accepting, that sucks. I did this somewhat a few years back and it's been fine. I still go to family gatherings on Christmas Day, but I've opted out of all gift receiving and giving. It took a couple years for people to "remember" (I think they were just being stubborn) but by now it's not even an issue. So much stress removed and now I can just enjoy gathering with family I only see once a year.
