I thought the point was that he was intentionally syncing up with Anna? Like, when he says "we always finish each other's" and she interrupts with "Sandwiches!" he went with it because he figured that agreeing with everything she said was the best way to get with her?

...Unless I'm misunderstanding your secret, which I'll admit, is a distinct possibility, sorry.
