Yeah, they needed to lighten his eyebrows, the contrast is too distracting.

Then again, I wish they'd made Orlando Bloom's eyebrows match his hair too...

Agreed; light hair/dark eyebrows has never worked for me as an aesthetic, personally.

Yep. He was great in the role, but I was constantly thinking "what are those dwarf eyebrows on the blond elf's face?"

I never even noticed the eyebrow contrast until it was pointed out here.

I think his design does a good job of being haughty, otherworldly and bristly.

Lightening would probably not work on camera, but they should have plucked them, thinned them down a bit. They'd be a bit too much for his face regardless of their color.
