Normally I think Lee Pace is beautiful. This is how I feel about every character in The Hobbit though (yes, even the hot dwarf)

they said, that they wanted to create a handsome man for every taste, so dwarfs indeed are supposed to appeal to people. Was it Peter Jackson himself? I don't remember.

Whaat?? I'm having trouble believing that wasn't meant in jest. I don't at all think there's something weird about being into Thorin, but that sounds like Simon Cowell designing a boy band. Not to mention that every character so far is purposefully non-human in their features and proportions (though I haven't seen the most recent one). If they are trying to appeal to a wide range of tastes a la Simon Cowell they should have started with a wider selection of human men, not the same dirty long haired white dudes over and over????
