Not one pairing, but one character for sure. There are a lot of shitty shows I stick with because of one or two characters that I just adore.

Yes, this definitely seems to be a pattern with me: I'll only like one or two characters from a show, and be indifferent to the rest of it, or even actively dislike the rest of it.

I've shipped things where I loved those two characters but actively disliked the show as a whole.

And if the canon shoots down my ship, I just go off into my AU world and ignore canon and continue shipping.
