I probably would have shipped it too if only I hadn't found Charlie to be so very unlikeable.

Uh? He barely had a personality. What was there to not like?

They might be referring to that scene where Charlie basically high fives Jacob after Bella tells him she broke her hand while trying to get him to stop kissing her. Honestly though I just like to pretend that part of the book never happened. I think Meyer was shooting for funny but was unaware of the frankly disturbing implications (though this is true for much of the series)
