I'm wondering what they're going to do now too, and I'll be honest part of me is expecting them to go 'lol that wasn't Red John either, got you again!'. Do they have another season lined up after this one or is the second half going to finish it all off?

No clue. Kind of thinking they've got at least one more season up their sleeve but I don't see the show lasting long after this retooling. They seem to be serious about keeping Red John dead and buried (if you look at the episode names, which have sometimes stretched to the point of ridiculousness in their attempt to use a word for "red" every time, they've now begun using different colors) so I'm not too concerned about that.

Show's been on for a good 5 and a half years, though, and TV seems to be approaching a transitional phase, if it's not already in one. I think the show's had a good run, and I wouldn't mind if they ended it a year or two from now on a high note.

While I'm surprised they've dealt with him, especially since it's half way through the season, it'd be good to keep him dead, they already pulled a fake Red John once and I really wouldn't want them to do it again.(the titles got so silly I actually stopped reading them so that is very interesting to know).

I agree, I've enjoyed watching the show a lot for the past five years but I would not be annoyed to have it end in a season or two, or sooner if they wanted. It's had a good run.
