Secret 6 - Thranduil (character), The Hobbit (films)

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-12-22 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is King Thranduil, as portrayed by Lee Pace, from the movie "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug". He is an elf with long blond hair, dark brown eyebrows, blue green eyes? and a crown that looks like branches with leaves. He is wearing a grayish green blue royal robe of sorts?]

I think I need to ask here, after having wondered for months: do you people really find this character aesthetically pleasing to the eye? I mean, is it because it's Lee Pace? (Which I don't find attractive, but I can see a LOT of people adore for his looks) Is it because he's an elf so he MUST be beautiful, as an axiom? WHY am I reading that this character is beautiful? I think the colours and the hair seriously DON'T suit that face, AT ALL. Orland Bloom somehow made it work (barely) but can't they find someone with less of a superthick dark eyebrow for the blonde elves or just make them dark haired?!?!
