Re: You may notice that I have many gripes about shipping

Nowdays this is SJWs who declare that certain ships are heralds for feminism or LGBT rights, but even a decade ago people would use concepts like equality, emancipation, freedom, tolerance, and so forth to make their ship the only one that decent people could ship.

Oh yes. I don't care if someone ships Destiel. I do roll my eyes when people claim that Destiel is an important part of bisexual activism and representation these days.

*cough*Ifthey don't make them gay/ you don't ship Kirk/Spcok YOU HATE GAY PEOPLE AND THEY'VE BEEN THE SYMBOL AND CANON FOR GAY PEOPLE FOREVER*cough*

Never does matter to those wackos that, maybe, just maybe, some people ship OTHER gay pairs or that if they ship a canon ship (like Spock/Uhura) that they don't hate gay people?

I think Kirk/Spock is best enjoyed somewhat cracky, in spite of a first-generation set of works that's straighter than a phaser beam in the absence of a gravitational field.
