She was cute, smart, brave... I agree that we barely knew her and that we knew that she was going to die, but well, I also knew that Crixus, Spartacus, Gannicus and Oenomeaus were going to die and I loved them anyway too. Sometimes you can't help it.

Not watching the show, but maybe they meant with spoiler that it happens this season/in the next few episodes.

Knowing that it's going to happen at some point isn't the same as knowing when it is going to happen.

I didn't actually mind the info for being a spoiler (I know the last ep aired quite a while ago and it's not anyone's fault that I live in a country in which every tv show ever airs late) but, see, I never knew more about the legend than 'there was this slave rebellion and it was led by a gladiator named Spartacus who did not survive' and up until you told me didn't even realize that Gannicus wasn't made up by the creators of the show (I think I should be a little ashamed of that...).
It's just that I was really sad to find out that he won't get a happy ending, which was something I had hoped for despite knowing that the chances of that happening were pretty small.

Being upset is understandable, but I wouldn't say the dead characters don't get a happy ending. The third season is mostly pretty good about that.

;____; I knew they were all going to die in Spartacus, but that didn't stop me from sobbing buckets each time.

Rue was also Katniss' connection to Prim. She saw her littler sister in Rue and that's why her death affected Katniss and the audience. Rue was the little sister that should have lived and not been put into a horrible situation that no child should be forced into.
