I'm scared that if I do get the job, I'll have to become an adult.

Being an adult is a lot better than you think.

I really think they should expand that quote to "growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional, and adulthood means you're the boss of you." :)

Being the boss of yourself is my favorite part. After 30 my family gave up on trying to change my mind about things and it was so relaxing.

I found that becoming an adult happened when I wasn't paying attention, and I woke up one morning to realise I had a career, a mortgage on a flat, and two girlfriends to support. It wasn't exactly a traumatic transition. You'll be fine.

Most of my "holy shit, I'm an adult!" realization moments have been pleasant. Like when I'm alone in the house and realize that I can fuck with anything I want to and literally no one will care. Or when I'm getting drunk in a bar and it occurs to me that, hey, I'm allowed to do this now!

The only "urg, adulthood" moment I had was when my hands were really, really cold and I had to take chicken out of the fridge and put it in freezer bags, because no one else was around and I was the one who had to deal with it. But even that wasn't exactly traumatic. I handled it, I washed up with nice hot water when I was finished, and I was just fine. XD

Oh, god where are all the people losing their shit over you clearly believing yourself to be some sort X-year-old child and not an adult already?

HELLO WEIRD PETER PAN ANON!

STAY PRESSED!

I remember that wank!! It was terrible! It's pretty much the reason I don't respect Chard anymore, just seemed really bullying about something that was really not any of her concern.

My theory is that Op of the last wank openly said he was a guy, where as this OP has kept his/her gender neutral. I'm not an MRA, I swear, but I have noticed people online being much more openly hostile to dudes, plus there's the whole social stereotype of "Men need to man up and act like men, and if they don't they're delusional manchildren"

SA.

If OP of the last wankthread happens to show up, I'd be really curious to know if everything turned out ok with your girlfriend?
