I'm definitely in fandom. (*looks at fic she is procrastinating from writing*) I think being "in fandom" really just involves the semi-regular production of, consumption of, or interaction with fanworks or fan groups.

(Coming back to this, I've thought of a succinct way to sum it up, that I think is terribly clever because I've had about 2-3 hours of sleep last night. You're in a fandom if you do one or more of the three C's: contribute, consume, or communicate in fan spaces.)
