from having observed similar situations in fandom, they would have likely shunned you for being a naysayer/too gloomy/troll/trouble-stirrer/whatever and then hit the pedal to accelerate even harder

the people who have enough perspective and/or common sense to get out will or would have gotten out regardless of whether you warned them or not

everyone else will have to come to their senses on their own

I've seen that people who get that extreme/quasi-religious/have drunk from the cool-aid reeeally hate being told that they're delusional, wrong, etc. and will only dig in their heels deeper if you try to warn them of their behavior, with very few exceptions

they need to come to the realization from within, you can't force it

Ditto to all of the above.

Whether there is a voice of reason or not, people who go wrong don't want to listen to it, and if you insist, they'll either kick you out or move away themselves to a place where they won't have anyone being reasonable.
