Where I am, calling someone a dog is the worst insult you could say to a person (without getting really creative, and people don't really get creative with their insults around here), because as an animal, it's haram.

Don't get me started on how much a pain it is to keep your neighbors happy when you have a pet dog around here. They'd be up in arms if you let your dog near their children.

You know... I find it incredibly odd that as an animal it'd be considered sinful. Because if there's something unnatural and impure, it's us humans - not nature.
