Some people DON'T feel the need to have an intensely intellectually-stimulating job, or learn a huge amount of facts about a variety of subjects. And that is not a reason to "ridicule" them for being stupid. They may not be YOUR values or strengths, but no one is asking you to be friends with or date them. It is, in fact, okay for someone to be uninterested in your interests. My guess is that Penny knows a lot more about animal husbandry and applied genetic selection in beef cattle than you do. She didn't enjoy doing it, so she moved on and tried to find her own place. Get a little perspective before you leave high school honey.
