For me personally if he'd left it at "drugging an elf" i would have been massively uncomfortable but not upset. the second he laughed at calling it "rape" and mocked anyone who would be hurt by it? THAT was the problem. The joke sucked, but make it. Whatever. Prepare for people to dislike you for it, but make it if you "HAVE" to. But then laughing off the people who have every right to be upset about it? Laughing at the mere concept of drugging and fucking some one BEING rape? THAT made him an asshole.

I thought he was being sarcastic all the way through -- including with his cavalier attitude. I have not seen a lot of interviews with him, but I get the impression that's sort of his gimmick, what have you, that he's so blase unPC but he's just being ridiculous and OTT with it. That's part of the comedy? That's what I thought, it's a very dry humour and some people don't get that.

/no dog in the hunt re: stanning MF or the joke itself but this whole thing is mindblowing
