I unironically love the movie Queen of the Damned and would choose it over the book version any day. Yup.

Mustn't also forget the Scarlett miniseries (as in the sequel to Gone With The Wind) which I found infinitely better than its predecessor. I loved the atmosphere, clothes and background in GWTW but by the end of the movie I was loathing every character so it was a breath of fresh air for me to see that the sequel had different actors playing Scarlett, Rhett and everyone else. (Joanne Whalley and Timothy Dalton were perfect replacements. I ended up loving this version of Scarlett to bits) Apparently this is blasphemy though.

I love Queen of The Damned so much. Most of my love for it is because of Aayliah though.

Aaliyah was a great Akasha but I admit that most of my love went towards Lestat and Jessie and their interactions. (also Maharet and Marius were just awesome so lots of love for them as well!)

She was absolutely fantastic and I will admit that I didn't give a shit/pay attention to anybody else when she was onscreen. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy Jessie and Lestat, I liked them, but Aaliyah was the most enjoyable part of the movie for me.

I love the Queen of the Damned movie! I downloaded it recently to re-enjoy was incredibly disheartened that a particular scene I enjoyed must have been imagined - only to later discover I had downloaded some kind of cut/censored version.

It's just very fun to watch. The book however made no impact on me.

This. The only thing I remember from the book was that every vampire was described as being so incredibly attractive/suave/sexy that it was a wonder that people weren't assaulting them on sight. xD

Granted, I could be remembering this wrong but frankly I'm not in the mood to refresh my memory. I barely got through it the first time.
