I see a lot of really awesome characters in there.

Honestly this is pretty common even for creators. I have started so many stories and gotten more interested in my minor characters than the boring hero.

You might wanna check out stories with ensemble casts, where there isn't really one main character and everyone contributes equally/has their own interesting subplot.
