Have you specifically asked them not to use your old name? Or shared these feelings with them? If so, then they're being assholes yeah. If not, some people just get a name stuck in their head and don't really think about adjusting or don't realize it's a big deal.

If you've specifically asked them to not use your old name then they should have stopped, but if you haven't asked...maybe it's just difficult for them to remember the new name, or they're having difficulty connecting the new name with you and need a reminder.

Story of my life. It actually kind of bugs me when people call me "Nyx" instead of "Nyxie", but people seem to have gotten very attached to calling me "Nyx". Some days I consider telling people to quit it, especially since Nyx is the name of a Greek goddess and makes me feel like more of a pompous bitch than I already am, but this is one of those issues where I'm pretty sure trying to kick up a fuss would cause more trouble than it's worth.
