Adrian Andrews is my fave! I usually get invested in major characters, but the PW/AA series is one of the ones where I get the side character addiction. (My other favorites are Wocky Kitaki, Machi Tobaye, and the DeLites.)

Machi! I really wished he had gotten a line in the end credits. He was your defendant. Thalassa can't have just dumped him cold in juvie :(

OH MY GOD YES. I cried when the credits ended without him. And Thalassa doesn't exactly have the best parenting track record :( I bet Apollo and Trucy and Klavier would at least check in on him sometimes, though.

It's like the writers just forgot all about him. Like a kid accidentally abandoned at the store because the parent drove off without them :(
I could see the AJ kids visiting him though. They certainly seem to have a more familiar vibe, at least with the younger clients like Wocky, Jinxie, and Vera.

Yeah, Thalassa had this aloof vibe for sure. I guess I was just hoping there was a reference to a bond that might have been there since he literally guided her by hand.

I just wish we found out why he had to help smuggle that caccoon thing. It's been a while, but I remember being really annoyed that his only motive was "I needed the money" and no reason beyond that. There were a lot of plot holes in that case, more than usual, at least.

Why did Daryan need to as well. Dude works for Interpol iirc, and they're both famous and probably rich musicians, so why was money even the reason. Maybe Daryan was bribing him with citizenship or threatening him? And why did Kristoph do anything too? He makes a sarcastic remark to Phoenix that he did it for the evulz, but that's implied to be false, that there is something more to his actions, yet it gets dropped by the end.

Man, I am a total AJ stan, but that game was basically plot holes and cliffhangers. When I'm basically using fandom to fill them in in with headcanon/fanon, or waxing on about the potential and what-ifs, I'm basically making excuses for bad plotting. And AA5 doing nothing to follow up on the previous game, or the impact it should have on the characters involved (Klavier in particular), it's mighty underwhelming.

UUUUUGH OH god, I forgot all that, but man that was annoying. I kept assuming that Daryan was going to mess with his citizenship or something, but it never came up. And Kristoph, the biggest "you want answers? well fuck you" in the series. It's one thing to not to be completely clear on his entire motives (AA5 did that better, in my opinion, with you-know-who) but it's another thing not tell us anything about his motive. Especially considering we could've gotten answers from Klavier.

I think I read some where that AA4 was supposed to be the last of the series, which make all of the loose ends even more mind boggling.

There are a lot of reasons I consider AA4 the worst of the series, even though I really do like it. There was just too many obvious plot holes and too many loose ends.

oh yeah this thread has ace attorney spoilers. this is a heads up i guess

AA5 at least had a clear beginning and an end. Wrapped itself up into neat package that was friendly for newcomers and oldcomers to the series. The filler villains were a bit too generally evil for me, but the overarching one was well-explained imo. He was like a pawn version of Shelly, but time to grow on you and make you yell, "But I liked trusted you! aaaaaaand?

I'm not sure how much of AA4 was supposed to be open ended, if it can be called that, considering that Phoenix even being in the game was an executive decision. Going from that game to the next is jarring, because it set itself up as being it's own series with it's own cast to develop. But that only makes sense if it was even planned to make a sequel. Certainly the change in directors has to do with it, but still.

Ooh, I'm all rankled up now.
