I can absolutely get behind the TDK triology (except for the third one, the third one absolutely sucked; except for Selina. Selina was too awesome <3 But Bruce was so OOC I cringed hard at everything he did except when he ACTUALLY made the "Big Damn Hero" thing at the ending), because it works for Batman being gritty (not Frank Miller levels of gritty, either, but sort of a realistic gritty, yanno?). But Superman? No, no, that sucked, and he was so out of character I was really glad I didn't pay to see it in theatres. I'm not hyped at all by the Batman vs. Supes or whatever. Not even because Wonder Woman will be there (I WANT HER TO HAVE HER OWN MOVIE, GDI, IT'S NOT THAT HARD!).

Meanwhile, Marvel is doing awesome things that are also very fun. All the Avengers movies have been very entertaining and have the "comic book" feeling. And I'm kind of super hyped for Days of Future Past as well, because I want to see how that arc is handled on the big screen - I loved those episodes in the 90's cartoon, they were my introduction to the idea of a "dystopian future" when I was a wee little kid.

I really wish someone would edit together all Selina's parts of TDK so I could just go watch those! I hear so much good stuff about her but I hated the second Nolan Batman and have no interest in slogging through the third just to see one character.

did you like batman begins? because the third is more like the first one. the second kind of stands out as a movie on its own, and is more "realistic" etc., while the third brings back bogus science and Liam Neeson.

It's also an insufferable slog with like no Alfred. That thing was a snoozefest.
