That's kind of their running "flaw". It shows how fucked up Westeros is, if "being honorable" means "getting mercilessly slaughtered". I like the Starks, but they are too incompatible with such a world. Until now, Arya and Sansa have proven they are the best of the House at surviving, but that doesn't mean much.

Unpopular opinion: Until the third book I really wanted a separation of the kingdoms. I wanted Robb to be King of the North, and Renly to rule the South, and Dany being all awesome at the other side of the Narrow Sea. Since that's not going to happen... I don't know for whom root for now.

I mean, I love Dany. But she's been making mistake after mistake since she got married and I'm here headwalling and... I'm glad she got outta there, I really am. But she needs to grow up pronto if she truly wants to be queen from ANYWHERE :/

I wanted separate kingdoms too, but pretty much Robb was the only one who wanted that, the independence of the North. Every other potential king, and Dany, wants all of Westeros. I'm still hoping for a North King though. The rest of Westeros can figure itself out, they're whackos anyway :U

Ahahaha, I know :'D It would have been nice, tho'. But you know how Martin is, there's no such thing as a "nice thing" happening in ASOIAF.

I'm kind of wishing for Sansa to become Queen in the North, somehow, but I'm pretty much 100% sure that is not going to happen ever. A girl can dream though lol.

...Sansa as queen, ruling side by side with Margaery Tyrell. It could totally happen!

I shall confess I ship it >>;; But only in the series. Have you read ADWD?

I haven't seen the show yet, but I shipped them from the first time they met. The Tyrells were the first people to be nice to her in a long time. Poor Sansa.

I'm 38% through ADWD. The fact that you ask makes me nervous.

That's true! But I didn't see chemistry between them, which I though was strange for me (usually I'm with my slash/femmeslash googles firmly tied to around my head). I haven't reached the part of the series in which they meet, because I ABSOLUTELY SUCK at watching TV, but the gifsets I've seen show a lot of chemistry I hadn't noticed before.

Don't worry, if you're there I don't have anything to spoil you. Godspeed, that book is a True Longcat.

Sansa does surprisingly well for someone who started out so naive. She's an intelligent girl with common sense who plays well the cards life (as in "life in Westeros") dealt to her. I think she could actually be a good queen, but same as with Dany, she's currently stuck in such a shitty situation that A LOT would have to happen to allow her amass enough power to be a candidate for Queendom.

I don't know how far you are into the books, but with where she was left off with I'm starting to smell BAMF. I'm hoping so hard for a Sansa/Daenerys throwdown.

Yup :( Pure wishful thinking, silly me. Back then I didn't knew the books were an excercise in "How worse things can get? OH, I KNOW!"
