Is it just me or does Superman’s costume look like it would be really uncomfortable?

I know a lot of superhero costumes in movies are just designed for aesthetics, but it would be nice if, sometimes, they were actually functional. I get sometimes they can’t be (Iron Man), but Spandex is an option in some cases and so much more accommodating to, you know, moving.

As for bright colors, well, I like them too – especially in those ginormous action sequences where there are ten things going on at once and it can be hard to keep track of all the players. If you blend in with the shadows (or the bad guys) it can be hard to tell what is going on.
