Re: F!S Feminist quote of the day

Y'know, here's an idea. Let's say I believe you are not a troll. Then, I'd believe you're inexperienced and young, but mean well, and have tried to read "the classical" feminists.

You want discussion? Provide us with a starting point for the discussion, instead of just throwing in an inflammatory quote with no context nor explanation.

Some bulletpoints:

- Your feminism MUST BE TRANSVERSAL, INCLUSIVE AND INTERSECTIONAL; or it's bullshit. This is not negotiable.

- Try with thought-provoking quotes of feminists from the whole spectrum. Try Queer feminism, POC feminism, Muslim feminism... whatever. Don't stay with the angry sex-negative anti-trans whitey authors. You'll only get irate responses, wank and/or laughs if you just parrot Second Wave Feminists or RadFems.

Intersectional feminism is basically modern feminism to be honest. Any "feminist topic" that is exclusive is from the radfem days that people are trying to necropost.

I'm so very DONE to death with RadFems, honestly. The worst thing is, uninformed people think ALL FEMINISTS ARE RADFEMS, only because this handful of dogmatic bigots are the loudest of the movement.

Wow
So angry
Very white
Much transphobic

See, I was with you until you brought up the skin colour thing. I'm so sick of people going "OMG you're causing trouble/problems U MUST BE WHITE I LUV DRINKING UR WHITE TEARS!" - you're just as bad as anyone else who stereotypes people based on the colour of their skin.

Uh, that wasn't what I meant O.o I was referring, precisely, to the lack of pressence of WOC and Trans*Women in "Radical Feminism" theories and movements. I'm not demonizing feminists that happen to be white, y'know? There are lots of them that are quite the contribution to feminism in general. But I do dislike the idea of "Cis-White Feminism", because it refuses to acknowledge the amazing variety of equally valid experiences of women around the world, who also experiment other kinds of opression besides the one of gender.

"A feminist who happens to be white and cis" is not the same as a "Cis-White Feminist" (capitalized). Come on, this is not Tumblr.

I wish the anon above had written DA because...awwwwkwaaard. Anyway, I got what you meant. And agree that we need to let everyone have a voice in order to change the patriarchal structure of society.

Oh? Ahaha, it's okay, Anon ^^ I'm not angry or bothered or anything. I did think it was kinda strange, the shift in tone and all, but considering how many Anons are here, there was a possibility it was indeed a DA.

I'm glad my point came across despite the sarcasm and Doge Meme use :'D And that we agree! It's nice when you find people who think similarly to you. If only, that makes these kinds of posts worthwhile.

But OP is the anon who tries to start a discussion every other day without a starting point. I'm still waiting for the day with a starting point so I can clap for them!

Eh, everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to "being part of a political movement". If she's authentically interested on this thing, there will come a day she'll actually manage to learn enough to start a decent discusion instead of throwing this Godwin's Law stuff at us as if it were a molotov cocktail.
