When I was involved in fandom, I almost always latched onto the secondary characters. For the longest time, it was extremely lonely since everyone else in fandom were deeply involved with what turned out to be the big ships with the protag.

I eventually drifted away. I'm glad that maybe that's changing now? Hard to say but eh. Whatev.
