Yeeeah, idk. It actually wasn't too bad as long as you avoided the crazier corners of the fandom, plus [at least on lj] comm mods were usually pretty good about saying "These posts don't belong on this comm".

Fic-wise...it didn't really come up like that? Like, at least the fic I was reading, usually focused on the characters reacting to events, not the events being caused by their "Super!Sexy!Lust" or whatever. IDK though, I might just have gotten lucky and been stumbling around the more mature [for lack of a better term] parts of the fandom.

Good point. I like to think it wasn't that bad when I left (because I was still there hyuk), but given how spread out it is on the meme and tumblr, it should actually be challenging to run into a consistent stream of bad.

Oh. I'm just looking at [livejournal.com profile] hetalia right now, and I'm getting kind of nostalgic. I remember when there was this huge influx of posts and members per day that I had to give up on having it on my reading page. If you happen to have any recs offhand, and don't mind, I would certainly love them btw
