As someone who hates an overabundance of camp and has no nostalgic connection to any of this stuff (because the campiness put me off even as a kid), we're gonna have to agree to disagree here. At least where Batman is concerned.

I agree that not ALL comics-based films should set gritty/serious as their goal because it doesn't suit every comic book hero. For example, Superman.
