Late reply is late, but here ya go.

I don't like the bubblegum-poppy Beatles either, I prefer their weirder stuff (already mentioned by a few people) or their more melodic stuff, which tends to be more interesting musically.

Here are some favorites of mine from the second category (some might've been mentioned already):

Also, maybe try looking for things written by Harrison (irregular but IMO brilliant songwriter) instead of Lennon/McCartney (the group's regular songwriters)?

If you like rock operas and 60s culture, look up the film Across the Universe. It's a story composed from Beatles songs but sung by other people, and IMO speaks to how they shaped a decade. Maybe it won't make you love them, but might dull the hate.
