oh for fuck's sake why do people have to be like that? one half whining how the old batman movies made their actuallysuperdark!batman gay and silly and whatnot, and the other half complaining how the Nolanverse is joyless and pretentious because it's not silly enough? do we really need to do that? I *love* the '66 Batman Movie AND the Nolan Trilogy, precisely because they are two completely different approaches to a character who has been re-interpreted countless times.
Nolanverse is like an experiment of what Batman could be like in "the real world". (at least from TDK onwards. IDK what BB was supposed to be :P) It's not about being extra serious adult manly mangeeks together.
Whether you like it or not, that's a question of taste, just don't go calling movies "joyless" or "pretentious" just because you can't appreciate what they are.
