My sister called to tell me that her dog (which stays at my house while everyone is working) got sick. He threw up on my carpet and shit down my heating vent. :<

HOW IS YOUR DAY?

I had a flat tire in my work parking lot and had to think really hard when someone asked if I wanted her to send out one of the men in the office to help. Because I know how to change a tire and don't like being a cliche. But I had her get him and we worked together. Me operating the jack. and him unlocking and removing my lugnuts, which apparently takes a Herculean strength that I do not possess.

I've got a cold. I was at a birthday party yesterday and I could feel my voice fading over the evening, although the rest of me was mostly fine but tired. And now I'm sick. Which is rather putting a damper on my NYE plans.

I have a new kitten, she's named Fluff Monster. My older cats are still unhappy about it, but are slowly getting used to her. She has some damage from an eye infection in her right eye at one point, but other than that she's a very happy playful kitten.

Listening to my aunt complain about how difficult it is to take her of her demented mother (not my gran). It really is awful by the sound of it - it's at the point where my aunt has to keep watch when her mother goes to the bathroom because otherwise she'll forget that she's using the toilet and just get up and walk around - but is a birthday party really the best place to talk about it? There are more pleasant topics than talking about how you had to clean the shit from her toes because your mum didn't realise that she had diarrhoea.

I've been at work since 6am and I'm sooo hungry (nearing midday). Also it's New Years Eve here so I gotta go get things for the party at mine tonight.

Hoping to sneak in some art.

I spent lots of money on brake work and a new battery for my car.

My cat puked day before yesterday, and last night I spent half an hour basically clinging to a sink, then toilet, puking, myself.

When I told my friend earlier in the day about word-vomiting, this was not what I meant. -_-

Did she at least clean it up?

And...hmm. Not bad, still scoping out Banjo instructors but not bad.

okay. I worked this morning and had a boring afternoon. Fell asleep. Oops.

My main Christmas gift (a TV)...has crapped out, already. So, I guess it's return and replace, and hope the replacement doesn't have the same defect.

My cat puked straight into the vents on the top of my desktop while I was at work today. Luckily the holes are small enough that it sort of caught most of it, and what fell inside missed anything important so the computer is running fine.

Work was boring. Not sure I like being an adult.

Siiiick. Just a small cold, mind you, but I have reached the dizzy/exhausted stage of the illness and it's not helping anything. At least it should be over with by tomorrow I hope.

The only truly terrible thing is this is making me want to eat meat for the first time since going veg. (How do I into a cold without chicken soup or consommé, guys? HALP)

Me? I spent most of the day having fever-hallucinations from a combination of shingles and a bad cold. I'm feeling a bit better now, though, and I think it's partially because my own dogs have been extra-clingy towards me all day, though, which is nice and comforting as long as they're just cuddling up next to me and not stepping on my boobs, breathing their horrible zombie swamp-ass breath in my face and/or trying to smother me. I am, in fact, typing this from under one of them.

Just been chilling out at home. Played some video games earlier, worked a little on sewing costumes, and OMG MADE PROGRESS ON A FIC THAT HAS BEEN STALLED SINCE 2009. Like I just put in the scene divider designating THE END OF A BRAND NEW SCENE. I mean, I have no idea if I'm actually going to keep the scene as-is, and it's short and cuts off there because I need to change POV, but like I said - this fic has been sitting here untouched since 2009. And now there is one more scene. Progress.

I still have a cold but meh, could be worse. I at least had the cognitive ability to play something other than MAA or WoW today.

I'm in the same position as your sister's dog. :c

my day was horrifying. I ended up in tears at work...humiliating. but not as bad as a dog shitting down my heating vent so I guess I'll be shutting up now.

but I did stifle a laugh when this rude girl's dog threw up on her lap at the window (I work at dunkin donuts). a small beacon of hope, it was.
