If Sansa was with anyone else she'd just end up comparing them to Sandor.

So she just needs someone who is genuinely concerned for her safety and welfare but never terrorizes her or creeps on her.

This is why I ship her with Tyrion. I can't wait to see how their marriage goes.

I just want them to become the most unlikely legitimately supportive and caring power couple of all time.

And also send Jaime and Brienne out on missions to beat people/things/abstract concepts up.

Man, I have read every Tyrion/Sansa fic out there, no matter how poorly written, cause I'm so thirsty for this. I just want two of the most good-hearted people in that shitty town (I do think Tyrion has a really good heart under his crunchy perverted shell), two former idealists who want to be loved more than they'll admit any more, to be able to be there for each other.

Read the books, Sansa is miserable with Tyrion and vice-versa.

I've only read the books, although admittedly it's been a while since I read that part of it.

My take on it is that they're miserable mostly because they're in a miserable, shitty, awful situation. But even so Tyrion was as kind to Sansa as you could hope, given that awful situation. I think in the right circumstances they could make an interesting couple, maybe even a good couple. And they're two of my favorite characters so it's interesting to think of.

Either way, the show really bastardized their relationship in order to make Tyrion look better and reduced all of Sansa's emotional issues, shifting most of it onto him (even the response to the RW was more about Tyrion than Sansa). Tyrion is actually pretty gross (though much more interesting than his bland, infallible show persona) in the books and on their wedding night.

When I'm not shipping her with Margaery, I ship her with Tyrion. If the situation had been way different and they marriage hadn't been sprung on both of them, and if she hadn't been, you know, 13, they could have had an interesting dynamic. They could banter and be snarky.

Oh, I ship her hard with Margery too.

I just think her marriage to Tyrion is interesting and, HAVING NOT READ THE BOOKS, think it'd be totally awesome if they snarked on everyone and kicked ass in their own underhanded ways.

Shipping Sansa/Sandor is SO GROSS AND HORRIBLE HOW COULD YOU, but Sansa/Tyrion is totally fine, healthy, and adorable!!! Didn't you know? And Daenerys/Drogo is the romance of the year!!!
I don't ship either of the pairings, but what the hell... GoT fandom can be so judgmental and hypocritical

All that indicates is that his interactions with her were memorable. It doesn't mean she's in love with him, or even has fond memories of him.

You mean like, "Oh. My LAST boyfriend was a killer who thought it was romantic to corner me in the castle and mutter weird threats. But these flowers are nice, too, I guess..."
