Yes. It's really annoying when someone likes something that you don't. Life, right? People. Personal tastes. Sooo annoying.

I'm sorry, that was mean. You're entitled to your opinion, OP. I'm just getting really sick of these ~other people like something but I don't and they need to stop liking it because I don't~ secrets. Is it just me or has there been a lot of them the past couple days? I know that it's something that's going to happen because people have a very hard time accepting that people can like something they don't but there seems to have been an influx recently.

It's more so, "a lot of people adore this thing that I dislike", and it's easy to see why something like this would end up posted as a secret a lot: because in a lot of cases it's not easy to express an opinion like that openly. That's kind of the whole point of fandom secrets, no?

I don't think you get it. It's like when someones head-canon becomes accepted throughout the majority of fandom to the point that it seems canon and you don't agree with it because it's not canon. It's that joke that keeps being told as if someone thinks they are the first one to come up with it and it was only slightly amusing the first time. It's when fandom takes one minor character trait and then massively over blows it to the point it's THE defining character trait portrayed in fandom.

It's not about disliking someone else taste, it's about something permeating throughout fandom to the point you get sick of seeing it. It's about not liking to see characters turned into the same one note joke with no variety or creativity.
